南アルプス国立公園指定50周年記念モニュメント／The Monument for the 50th Anniversary of “Minami Alps National Park”

本モニュメントは南アルプスにみられるカールといわれる優美な曲面をモチーフに、雄大な山並みを表現しています。山肌の色を象徴的に表す耐候性鋼は、表面の錆色の酸化被膜が安定した耐候性を維持します。また、ハート型をしたチタン製のオブジェは、南アルプスの清らかな水から生まれた「水の精」をイメージしたものです。
本モニュメントは南アルプスの豊かな大地で育まれた水や緑などの貴重な資源が後世に伝えられてゆくことを願い制作されました。

This monument was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Minami Alps National Park and the 10th anniversary Hokuto City.
Inspired by the gracefully curved surface, or “Kar”, found in the Minami Alps, it represents this sublime mountain range. Weathering steel symbolizes the color of the mountain surface. Weather resistance is maintained over time due to a rust-colored oxide compound in the metal surface. Heart shaped titanium objects represent “water nymph” born of pure water from the Minami Alps.
The monument was created with the wish that future generations inherit healthy precious resources such as water and green space nourished by the rich ground of the Minami Alps.
