早稲田大学に隣接する、学生の社会教育を目的としたスペース。稲穂のメタファーとして想起されたステンレス製ルーバーと、大木のシルエットが浮かび上がる耐候性鋼板パネルのファサードによって、豊かな都市空間の創出を目指しました。光や風、音などの環境を制御する役割も担い、静謐な内部空間の形成に寄与しています。

The building is located in the vicinity of Waseda University and provides a space for social education of the students. We aimed to enrich the urban environment by means of the façade. It is composed of stainless steel louvers that act as a metaphor of rice plants and coated steel panels that feature the punched-out silhouette of a mighty tree. Moreover the façade acts as a filter that protects against strong sun light, wind and noise, thus contributing to the creation of a tranquil inner space.
