神奈川県川崎市の化粧品メーカーのオフィスビルです。約15mの起伏を持つ傾斜地にメインオフィスと研修棟を地形に沿って配置し、建築のボリュームを景観から突出させることなくランドスケープと一体となった環境づくりを試みました。敷地造成と建築工事を連動させ、高台側の躯体工事を先行し、土圧を軽減させたあと低い位置の躯体工事にかかることで合理性と経済性を追求しました。メインオフィスは敷地の高低差に対応したふたつのエントランスオフィスを持ち、下側をメインエントランス、高台側を社員用エントランスとしています。オフィスとエッグホールの外周を厚い耐力壁で固め構造的なコアとし、これらふたつのボリュームを吹抜空間のフォーラムで結節しました。最上階は下階にかかる荷重を軽減し、構造グリッドに制約されない自由なプランとするために鉄骨造としています。ファサードのステンレスパネルは、表面がふたつの三角形状にふくよかに隆起し端部が急角度に絞り込まれ、電解研磨処理を施していますが、そのクロム酸化被膜の表面は細やかなテクスチャーを持ち、耐候性の向上だけでなく気候や季節、時間によって反射光が美しく変化し劇的な効果を与えています。

An office building of a cosmetic company at Kawasaki-city, Kanagawa. It is intended to unify landscape and architecture as one and main office and training center are not to protrude from the landscape on the about 15 meter steep. To explore the rational and economical execution, the renovation and building construction were done simultaneously. After one volume was constructed at the upper point to reduce the earth pressure, the other at lower point was set to be done. The main office has two entrance halls at different points of heights: the lower one is main entrance and the upper one is staff entry. The outer circuit of office and Egg Hall as structural core are supported by rigid bearing wall. These two volumes are connected by open forum. The top floor is structured by steel framework to reduce the load on lower levels and make a structural grid-free plan. The electro-polished stainless steel panels, richly undulated two triangles with sharp edges, display the fine texture of the chromic acid oxidation coating. They increase the weather resistance and the dramatic and exquisite effect by changes of lights and reflections conditioned by climates, seasons and times.
