サンタリア聖教会 / Santaria Church

アリアのサンタリア聖教会はアリアで働く人々の安らぎの空間としてつくられました。工業団地の中にある教会は他に例がないでしょう。アリアの建設委員会から、「キョウカイをつくることになったのですぐ設計してほしい」という電話を受けたときはアリアの組合協会の施設のことかと思いました。100人入れば一杯になってしまう小さな教会で、アリアのシンボルとして親しまれていましたが、結婚式をしたいという希望者が年々増えてきたため、2つのバンケットホールをもつ本格的なブライダルホールが建設されました。オープン以来予約が殺到しています。また自動車やファッションなどのコマーシャル撮影の場所としても活躍しています。

Santaria church at Aria was created in a concept of comfort for those who work at this complex. There would never be any church within industrial complex. When the committee of Area called us to say, “Could you set about designing a “kyokai” immediately?”, we thought he ordered us to design a building for the Aria Union in stead of a church (“kyokai” is a homonym for “union” and “church” in Japanese).The small church has a capacity of 100 attendances at the maximum and is loved as a symbol of Aria by local people. For the growing number of couples who wish to celebrate their marriage at Aria in annual basis, a proper bridal hall with two banqueting halls was constructed. Since its opening, this bridal complex keeps its popularity enough to fill up the reservation list with couples’ names. This complex is often selected as a shooting spot of fashionable commercial films such as the automobile and the mode.
